Let’s face it: most outfitters offer decent accommodations but don’t offer class A accommodations. Most outfitters offer decent meals but don’t offer meals fit for a king. Most outfitters are friendly, but their establishment isn’t a place you would bring your wife and kids. Illinois Connection, on the other hand, is different. We offer Class A accommodations, meals you would only expect at a fine restaurant, and Southern hospitality.
Our main lodge is 12,500 square feet and can house groups of all sizes. We also offer accommodations for husbands who want to bring their wives hunting. At Illinois Connection, you won’t be roughing it in a wall tent or plywood shack; you will be sleeping in a comfortable bed, eating in a dining room and relaxing in one of multiple spacious living rooms. Our lodge is a resort built for hunters who want to go on a hunting vacation, not just a hunt. From the fountain drink dispenser to the full bar and pool table, Illinois Connection has it all. Log accents, leather furniture, a field stone fireplace, custom hardwood floors and clean rooms make Illinois Connection a warm and inviting place everyone enjoys coming back to after a long day of hunting. We even offer a scent-free room equipped with carbon dryers to keep hunting garments odor free.

Daily Routine
Activity begins around 4 am with hunters rising for the days’ hunt. A quick breakfast is followed by guides taking hunters to stands. If one chooses to come in for the mid-afternoon, a light lunch is provided by the lodges’ wonderful cook. In the evening, the hunters return to the lodge where equipment can be placed, clothes washed and hung for the next day, and a relaxing home-cooked meal awaits with tempting homemade desserts. The evening really begins with dinner. It’s an exciting time spent with the other hunters around the table, discussing every aspect of the days’ hunt and anticipation for the next days’ hunt. The evening ends with hunters going downstairs to play a game of pool, sitting around the open bar, watching hunting videos on the big screen TV or getting alone upstairs for some close conversation.
